1. Create domain name
The wizard successfully created the "yesky. com" zone, but internal users cannot use this name to access internal sites because it is not a qualified domain name. Then, you need to create domain names pointing to different hosts to provide domain name resolution services. Prepare to create a domain name "www.yesky. com" to visit the website. The specific operation steps are as follows:
Step 1: click the menu command Start Management Tools DNS to open the dnsmagt console window.
Step 2: Expand the directory Server Name Forward Search Area in the left pane. Then right click the "yesky. com" area and execute the "New Host" command in the shortcut menu. Execute the New Host command.
Step 3: Open the New Host dialog box, and type a name representing the service provided by the host in the Name edit box (in this example, type "www"). In the "IP Address" edit box, type the IP address of the host (such as "192.168.0.198"), and then click the "Add Host" button. You will soon be prompted that the host record has been successfully created. Finally, click Finish to complete the creation.
Second, set DNS client
Although the server domain name system has been successfully created and a suitable domain name has been created, the domain name "www.yesky. com" cannot be used to access the website in the client browser. This is because although there is a server, the domain name system, the client does not know where the server's domain name system is, so it cannot recognize the domain name entered by the user. The user must manually set the IP address of the DNS server. Set the IP address of the newly deployed DNS server in the "Preferred DNS server" edit box in the "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties" dialog box of the client. Set the DNS server address of the client, and then use the domain name to visit the website again. You will find that you can access the website normally.
Third, configure the DNS forwarder
Taking the DNS server in Windows Server 2003 system as an example, this paper introduces the method of setting DNS forwarder:
Step 1, open the DNS console window, right-click the DNS server name in the left pane to set the DNS forwarder, and then select the Properties command.
Step 2: Open the Server Properties dialog box and switch to the Forwarders tab. Enter the IP address of the DNS server provided by the ISP in the edit box of "IP address list of forwarders in the selected domain", and click "Add". Repeat the operation to add the IP addresses of multiple DNS servers. Note that in addition to the DNS server IP addresses provided by the local ISP, you can also add the DNS server IP addresses of ISPs in other regions.
Third, the user can also adjust the order of the IP address list. Select the IP address to be adjusted in the IP address list of the forwarder, and click the "Move Up" or "Move Down" button to perform related operations. Generally, the IP address of the DNS server with fast response speed should be adjusted to the top. Click OK to make the settings take effect.
