Equal protection is the abbreviation of "network security level protection". It is the most basic network security system of the country and the most recognized network security system by organizations such as government and enterprises. It has played an important role in promoting the establishment of security systems by government and enterprises. It is one of the biggest security requirements of users to achieve various equivalent requirements through equivalent evaluation (referred to as "equivalent evaluation"). Therefore, two years ago today, on June 9, 2018, Huawei Cloud and a qualified equal protection evaluation agency, including the Third Research Institute of the Ministry of Public Security, one of the preparers of equal protection, launched equal protection services.
In the past two years, the equivalent insurance service has established a localized equivalent insurance assessment team covering more than 30 provinces and cities in China, and these teams all have the equivalent insurance assessment qualification issued by the relevant national departments. This has three benefits:
First, users in all provinces in China can basically enjoy nearby services, saving communication costs in the evaluation process;
Second, there is a professional interactive evaluation team, who has in-depth understanding and practice of network security, otherwise they will not be able to obtain evaluation qualification;

1. Huawei Cloud has passed Level 3 and Level 4 equivalent insurance
The user system and the cloud platform used were tested equivalently. For users, in order to obtain good "performance" of equal protection, the performance of the cloud platform must not be lower than the user's performance, otherwise the user's own system evaluation score will be no higher, and the overall good performance will not be achieved. This means that users must choose a cloud platform with good results. In addition, all regions of Huawei Cloud have passed Level 3 equal protection. In some regions with high security requirements, nodes have passed Level 4 equal protection, laying the foundation for users to successfully pass Level 4 equal protection.

As can be seen from the above example, taking the level 3 of equal protection that users most often use as an example, the white paper gives a detailed classification and explanation of the barcodes that users need to pay attention to when using equal protection in the cloud. Under the three modes of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS, the barcodes that users need to pay attention to decrease in turn: under the IaaS mode, users mainly focus on work above the physical environment, The barcode that needs attention accounts for 80% of the self built machine room; In PaaS mode, 74% and 72% of the barcodes need attention.
