1、 Hard disk: Video cloud on-demand servers usually occupy a considerable amount of data space. It is recommended to use servers with large hard disk capacity. 2、 CPU: at least E5 series from six cores to five levels or X series from five levels, with more than 8 G of memory. If the lease configurations are different, as the number of users increases, the access pressure of the video cloud on-demand server will increase, leading to the server crash.
3、 Broadband: In the case of high-definition or ultra definition, if the video cloud on-demand server has high-definition, it means that the video cloud on-demand server has high bandwidth requirements. The document transmission frequency is stable. If the number of videos and users visiting the website is not large when the video website is turned on, broadband upgrade is required. The broadband is 100 M (if 1000 people watch at the same time, the high-definition video may not be wide enough). If the bandwidth is too high, consider using 20-50 M at initial startup, and upgrade the bandwidth when increasing traffic.
When the traffic reaches 100M-200M and the bandwidth exceeds 100M-200M, consider dividing the video into two or more servers and calling through different URLs. This will reduce the load on a server.
If there are 10000 people online every day, there are about 10 people every day; To ensure that the video does not have a card, the video bit rate should be at least 300 Kbps. If 10 people are online every day, a smooth bandwidth of 0.3 * 10=3 Mbps should be provided. If your user is in the mainland, it is recommended to choose the server in Hong Kong.
Calculate the bandwidth of the VOD server:
The maximum number of online users is the real-time code rate divided by the direct bandwidth. However, in view of the fluctuation of bit rate and management requirements, the bandwidth should be kept at 20%. For example, 1 G bandwidth, 1 M code rate, CU=1 G/M * 80%=800.
The VOD server needs to consider the number of online people. If you use 100 M to play ordinary movies (600 kbps) on the VOD server, the resulting smooth VOD requires about 600/8 ≈ 80 KB/s, 100 M * 1024 K/8/80 K/, that is, 160 simultaneous links (concurrent). You can also support 10000 people online, because when you visit a web page, you only need to connect to the virtual machine for a short time to request data. These 10000 people do not necessarily need 10000 concurrent connections at the same time. In this way, the budget is 30000 yuan.
It is recommended to follow the principle of bandwidth first and performance second when configuring the VOD server.
