Solution to prompt DNS server not responding when network error occurs

Release time: 11:47:18, January 23, 2021
DNS server is short for Domain Name Service, which includes a domain name analyzer and a domain name server. In this network, the domain name server stores the domain names and corresponding IP addresses of all hosts. It can convert domain names into IP addresses. The domain name here must correspond to the IP address, which is not necessarily a domain name. The domain system adopts a class directory tree hierarchical structure. In the client/server mode, the domain name server is the server, which has two main forms: the main server and the forwarding server. The process of mapping a domain name to an IP address is called domain name resolution.
When we connect to the network in our daily life, we can't connect to the network. Using Windows network diagnosis, the diagnosis result is "DNS server is not responding". How to solve this problem? This may be caused by two reasons, one is the hardware failure, the other is the computer system setting problem. Today, Micronet will analyze the solution to prompt the DNS server not to respond when a network error occurs.
Solution to prompt DNS server not responding when network error occurs
The first method: reset the DNS address
In this case, you can restart the computer, ADSL cat and router first. If you can't, open the network and sharing center to view the network connection devices. If it is a local connection, right click to open the properties. If it is a wireless connection, open the wireless network connection properties; In the local connection properties window, select the Network tab, select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4), and then click the Properties button; In the protocol properties window, select "Use the following DNS server address" to modify the preferred DNS server. You can set it to 8.8.8.8. This is a general DNS server address. If there is no connection to the Internet due to DNS errors, general problems have been solved here.

Second method: reset Winsock
If the problem still cannot be solved after resetting the DNS service address, a Winsock error may occur. Press Win+R to open the operation, enter the cmd command, and click OK; Enter netshwinsockreset at the command prompt, and then press backup to reset Winsock; After successful reset, a prompt will be displayed. Restart the computer according to the prompt to see if it can connect to the network.

The third method: Open the DNSClient service
The DNSClient service may not be started, so enter services.ms c books at runtime; Find the DNS client in the service list, and then double-click to open it; Set the startup type to "Automatic", click the application, then click the "Start" button in the service status, and then click OK. If the problem of "DNS server does not respond" is caused by improper computer system settings, we can refer to the above method to solve it. If the router, ADSL and other hardware fail, such as the router, ADSL and network cable, we should check and replace the faulty hardware, or consult a specific network service provider.
