According to the provisions of the Administrative Measures of China Internet Domain Names, domain name registration applicants should submit true, accurate and complete domain name registration information. Therefore, the registration of domain names requires the submission of domain name holder information for real name authentication. The real name authentication of domain name includes the real name authentication of the domain name holder and the naming audit of the domain name itself.

• The audit time of domain name real name authentication varies according to domestic and foreign domain names. Generally, 1-3 days for domestic domain names and 1-7 days for international domain names
• Each time you modify the template information, you will enter the approval phase again. The template can be used normally only after it passes the approval

Domain name real name authentication process

Log in to User Center ->Domain Name Management ->Template Management.

Select the template that needs real name authentication, and click to upload real name authentication data.

Fill in the real name authentication information.

After the submission is successful, the real name authentication status will enter the audit process. Our company will first audit within 1-3 working days. After our company passes the audit, the domestic template needs to wait for CNNIC to review, which is generally completed within 3-5 working days. If the audit fails, please verify whether the template information is correct.

Common failure causes and solutions of domain name real name authentication

1. Wrong information template type selection

• If you select Individual as the user type when you create a template. The domain name holder shall fill in the personal name. (It is required to be consistent with the ID card)
• If you create a template, the user type is Enterprise. The domain name holder shall fill in the name of the individual (required to be consistent with that on the ID card), and fill in the relevant information of the enterprise (required to be consistent with the name of the unit on the business license or organization code card)

2. The name of the domain name owner is inconsistent with the name on the uploaded certificate

• If you create personal template information, you need to select personal template as the template type; Personal name shall be filled in the domain name holder information. (It is required to be consistent with the ID card)
• If you want to create enterprise template information, you need to select enterprise template as the template type; The domain name holder shall fill in the name of the individual (required to be consistent with that on the ID card), and fill in the relevant information of the enterprise (required to be consistent with the name of the unit on the business license or organization code card)

3. The uploaded data is untrue, unclear and incomplete

• The domain name holder is an individual. CNNIC requires that the front copy or scanned copy of the resident ID card (temporary ID card within the validity period), the household register or the scanned copy or duplicated copy of the household registration certificate stamped with the special seal of the public security bureau for household registration be submitted.
• The domain name holder is an enterprise, and CNNIC requires a scanned or photocopy of its business license or organization code certificate within the validity period.
• The uploaded image must be clear and complete electronic version (including the border of the certificate), without blocking or smearing. The image format is: JPG image size: 55KB-1MB, which can be scanned or digital photos.

4. Domain name owner information error

• If the name of the domain name owner is filled in incorrectly, you can change the name of the domain name owner by transferring the membership platform template.
• If the domain name owner information is incomplete, you can update the information by modifying the domain name template function on the membership platform.

5. The verification of domain name owner data is not qualified, and the possible reasons are as follows:

• If the business license submitted is inconsistent with the information inquired by the Administration for Industry and Commerce, that is, the number does not match the name, the enterprise certification materials stamped with the official seal of the Administration for Industry and Commerce or other valid organization certification materials can be submitted;
• The submitted registrant's identity certificate was not verified as qualified. For organizational users, please submit photocopies and scanned copies of the organization code certificate or business license of the enterprise; for natural person users, please submit photocopies and scanned copies of the mainland resident ID card or household registration certificate, and please submit certification materials stamped with the official seal of the competent department or other valid organization certification materials.
