When you need to create a snapshot for the cloud service, you can refer to the following steps. Snapshot Rules- Snapshot orders do not support refunds, contracts, and invoices.
- A single ECS can create at most one snapshot.
- The expiration time of snapshots after purchase cannot exceed the expiration time of ECS.
- Snapshots support renewal, and the renewal rules are the same as those of ECS; The snapshot is retained for 48 hours when it expires, and is automatically released after 48 hours.
- SMS and in station message reminders will be started 3 days before the snapshot expires, and there will also be SMS and in station message reminders after the snapshot expires, and there will be no reminders after deletion.
To create a snapshot 1. Log in, official website - login account - enter console - ECS management.
2. Select the ECS to log in and connect to and click [Manage] to enter the ECS management page.
3. Click Create Snapshot.
4. Tick the read Notes on Snapshot Function and confirm to use the snapshot function.
5. Select snapshot information.
6. Pay the snapshot order and wait for the snapshot to complete.
The snapshot size is related to the ECS memory size.
- Generally, 1G/2G is created within 3 minutes. The creation completion here refers to 100% of the saved status.
- 4G is created within 6 minutes, and 8G is created within 12-15 minutes.
- 16G is created within 25-30 minutes; 32G is created in 50-60 minutes.
- 64G needs 110-120 minutes to be created. The ECS can be used normally when taking snapshots,
matters needing attention- The ECS can create snapshots only when it is running or powered off.
- During snapshot taking, ECS can be used normally, but cannot be shut down or restarted.
- The existence of ECS snapshots will reduce the disk performance of ECS.
