VNC connection

VNC login is a way for users to remotely link to ECS through a web browser.

If the remote login client is not installed or the client cannot log in remotely, users can connect to the ECS through VNC, observe the ECS status, and perform basic ECS management through the ECS account.

Use Scenarios

  • The firewall was opened by mistake, which made it impossible to use the software to connect remotely. You can connect to the instance through VNC login.
  • The CPU or bandwidth is too high to connect remotely. You can connect to the instance through VNC login.

matters needing attention

  • When entering the ECS password, the CapsLock key cannot be used. If your server password contains uppercase letters or other special characters, use the Shift key combination to enter. To log in using VNC normally, you need to use mainstream browsers, such as Chrome, Firefox, IE9 and above.
  • Copying and pasting are not supported, and file uploading and downloading are not supported.
  • The VNC initial password is the operating system password. When the system is reinstalled, the VNC password will not change. The VNC password can be modified independently. Operation steps

1. Log in, official website - login account - enter console - ECS management.

2. Select the ECS to log in and connect to and click [Manage] to enter the ECS management page.

3. On the ECS management panel, click VNC Connect to link the ECS through VNC.

For Windows ECS, enter the system login interface by sending the Ctrl+Alt+Del command in the upper right corner. For Linux ECS, you can directly enter the ECS account password to log in.
