You can create a new instance through the following guide.

Select and purchase instances

1. Log in to the official website, select the product - ECS - click Buy Now to enter the ECS purchase page.

2. Select Northeast 1, Northeast 2, South China 1, North China 1, North China 2 and Hong Kong 1 according to your needs.

3. Select an instance type to provide a variety of instance types.

• CPU: 1~16 cores (1 core, 2 cores, 4 cores, 8 cores, 16 cores respectively)
• Memory: 1G~64G (1G, 2G, 4G, 8G, 16G, 32G, 64G respectively)
• I/O optimization: The server starts the I/O optimization instance for free.
  The instance configuration must be matched in a certain proportion

4. Select the SSD disk.

• System disk: 40G (40G system disk is free for each ECS.)
• Data disks: You can select one to five data disks. (Each data disk is 10G-1000G in size.)
  Uninstallation is not supported after successful purchase.

5. Select network and security configuration.

• Network type: dynamic BGP and static BGP (dynamic BGP in South China, North China, Hong Kong, and static BGP in Liaoning.)
• Public network bandwidth: 1M-300M When the purchased bandwidth is less than 10M, the default bandwidth downlink speed is 10M, and the uplink speed is the purchased bandwidth. When the purchased bandwidth is more than or equal to 10M, the network uplink and downlink are consistent.
• Defense: The defense peak value is 5G~300G (The defense peak value cannot be 0. Depending on the region, 5-20G defense is free.)

6. Select the system image and login password.

You can choose your own operating system, providing most Linux systems and Windows operating systems.

Users can choose to set password or not set server password temporarily. To set a password, users need to fill in the ECS password by themselves. The password is 8-30 characters and must contain both letters and numbers. If it is not set temporarily, the system will automatically generate a password and send it to the user in the form of in station messages and short messages. You can log in to the console to reset the ECS password.

7. Select the purchase duration.

Determine the number and purchase duration of ECS.

8. Click the Buy Now button to activate the ECS after completing the payment.

Created successfully

After the ECS is created, users will receive short messages and in station messages, including IP address, login name, initial login password (if automatic password generation is selected) and other information.

After purchase, resources need to be allocated, system images need to be installed, and other automated configurations need to be configured. The waiting time varies according to the image selection. The following creation time is for reference only:

• Windows 2003 takes 5~20 minutes
• Windows series (except 2003 version) takes 5~10 minutes
• Linux series takes 2-5 minutes

Enter the console to check your ECS.
