After initializing the configuration, you can let the ECS connect to the SQL Server instance or connect to the SQL Server instance locally to achieve business goals.

After completing operations such as creating an instance of cloud database, setting a whitelist, and creating an account, you can use the database client to connect to the cloud database instance.

Connect instances using clients

The following describes how to connect to the cloud database instance using the Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) client as an example.

1. Start the Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio client on the ECS or local computer.
2. Select Connect>Database Engine.
3. Enter the login information in the pop-up Connect to Server dialog box, as shown in the following figure
